The February, March and April meetings will be at the United
Reform Chapel Hall, Chapel Road, Saxmundham, starting at
7:30pm.
The admission fee is £1-50 for members and £2-00 for visitors.
Tea, coffee, and biscuits included. Visitors are always
welcome.
Some speakers give out literature of their talk or may have
books for sale.
Experienced family history researchers are at most meetings to
help you with your research.
Garretts Long Shop Day
The Group is holding a research afternoon at the Long Shop
Museum in Leiston on Saturday 23rd January 2010, between 11:30 and
16:30. Felixstowe Family History Society and Halesworth U3A will be
attending with their details and research equipment. If you can
help on this day please contact a committee member on one of the
numbers listed below. This will be instead of our normal Tuesday
evening meeting in January.
Research Centre.
The Group has a computer and a scanner with capability of
reproducing prints from documents, photographs and negatives; we
also have useful data including the National Burial Index for
family history research. These are available to members.
Non-members are always welcome in Leiston at the Council
Chambers on the
6th and 20th January,
3rd and 17th February,
3rd and 17th March,
all from 10:00 to 12:00.
Experienced family history researchers will be present to help
and give assistance if required. For further details contact one of
the names listed below.
New CDs have recently been purchased by the Group, 1 Pigot's
Directory, 6 Suffolk Trade Directories and 6 Suffolk Parish
Registers are now available for research.
Christmas Meal
The Christmas Meal at The Crown in Great Glemham in December was
enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks to Rona and Di for organising a
great evening.
Reminder
Can I just remind all members that the annual membership renewal
of £6-00 is due
from 1st January.

Meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday of each month
(no meeting in
August) at the United Reform Chapel Hall, Chapel Road,
Saxmundham, but please
confirm before travelling any distance. For further details on
