The Parish of Bacton
Bacton Parish covers an area of about ten square kilometres (a little over four square miles, or about 2500 acres), about 6km North of the town of Stowmarket in Mid Suffolk. It includes the central part of Bacton located around Shop Green and Tailor's Green, and the surrounding settlements of Bacton Green, Earl's Green, Canham's Green, Cow Green and Ford's Green.  The total population of the parish in 2004 was just under 1200.

The Parish Plan Committee
The Committee is made up of local residents who have volunteerered to give their time to manage and coordinate the process of producing a Parish Plan:
