Having analysed the responses from the
questionnaire distributed in 2009, we held another public event in
the Village Hall in April 2010 to help identify the actions that
might be taken to address some of the key issues raised. We
then produced a report and Action Plan that presents the thoughts,
needs and wishes of the residents of the Parish as expressed by
nearly 90% of the villagers in their responses.
Bacton Parish residents attended drop-in
events at the Village Hall and Bacton Fayre which helped decide
what to include in the questionnaire. A similar event
helped prepare the Action Plan.

The plan contains an analysis of
the data we collected from the questionnaire and gives a detailed
picture of Bacton today and an authoritative guide to the
wishes and needs of its residents, together with an Action Plan
suggesting concrete steps that can be taken to address them.
It has been distributed to all homes in the Parish and copies were
also sent to important bodies such as the District and County
Councils that will be able to take this information into account in
their future plans.
The work of the Parish Plan Steering Committee is now over, but the
Parish Council needs volunteers to take forward the Action
Plan. If you have an interest in any of these issues, or in
