The Community Forum was set up in 2006 to serve the local
community. This followed a survey held in the village to identify
what people wanted from the community, what concerned and worried
them, what they could do to help etc.
The Forum communicates the views of residents to the appropriate
bodies, be they public bodies, elected bodies or commercial
enterprises.
The Forum also takes action in the interests of the community. The
Forum has been involved in many areas of village life, including
reviving the Village Fair, helping to set up a Youth Club, and
getting an extra litter bin for the village.
The Forum is open to all residents of Badwell Ash and its
civil parish. New faces and new ideas are always
welcome at meetings.
Forum meetings are usually held in the White Horse Inn at 8pm on
the last Tuesday of the month. Everyone is welcome.
Since 2007 these meetings have become joint
meetings of the Community Forum and the Village Hall
Committee.
Neil Fleming is currently the Chair of the combined Forum and
Village Hall Committee.
