Recycling & Rubbish

Mid Suffolk operates an alternate weekly collection scheme, collecting rubbish one week and recycling the next.
The council allocates bin sizes depending on the size of your household. Check sizes. There is an assisted collection service for the elderly and infirm if there is no one in the household able to move bins to the front of the property on collection days.
Find out what you can put in your recycling bin here.
Extra recycling can be put out beside the recycling bin in clear bags, or in authorised clear bags; extra rubbish can only be put out in authorised orange bags by the rubbish bin.
Authorised recycling/rubbish/garden waste bags can be bought at Badwell Stores - get prices.
A new garden waste brown bin service is being rolled out across Mid Suffolk. Check if it operates in your postcode. There is a fee for this service. Otherwise garden waste can be put out on rubbish collection days in authorised green bags.
Local Recycling sites for glass, paper and fabric are shown on this map. Please note there are no recycling facilities at the Village Hall site anymore.
Recyclable waste including larger items can also be taken to MidSuffolk Council's Household Waste and Recycling Centres. See opening hours and acceptable waste here. The nearest centres are:
