Suffolk Constabulary Press Release
With the clocks going forward next
Sunday (28th March), Suffolk Police is urging residents
to keep their property safe.
As the evenings get lighter and the
weather improves (hopefully!), criminals can take advantage of
people spending more time outdoors and of people leaving windows
and doors open.
Between Monday 15th and
Sunday 21st March, a series of events are taking place
countywide to enable members of the public to gain more crime
prevention advice. Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood
Teams will be offering advice and reassurance. The following press
release contains all the details.

Barking Scarecrow Week 2009
The Winner 2009 - The
Princess and the Pea
After the huge success of the last two ‘Scarecrow Weeks’, we asked
residents to once again don their creative hats to make and display
a Scarecrow which, this year, depicted a Fictional Character.
Judging took place on Friday 5th June and the winners were
announced on Saturday evening at a BBQ at the Village Hall. The
scarecrows were judged by Mr and Mrs Viveash (Peter and Hazel) of
Farnborough Hants and Mrs Janet Rose.
All the scarecrows (the Simpsons, the Princess and the Pea, The
Wizard of Oz,
and many, many more) can be viewed by clicking onto the link.
