The ultimate aim of the project is to create a community woodland within the villages of Barnby and North Cove. This woodland could have many uses, including recreation and education.

We are one of Green Light Trust's Community Owned Woodlands, which means that we benefit from their experience of helping communities to create and manage their own woodlands.

The village school will be closely involved in the project. The children will take part in Green Light Trust's 'Schools' Rolling Programme' , which includes educational visits and practical activities such as planting seeds.
