Primary School is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England School which has approximately 100 children. It has a very good reputation drawing in children from outside the village, particularly from across the Norfolk border. It is part of the Thurston pyramid, leading to Ixworth Middle school and Thurston Upper. The middle school system is still currently the norm in Suffolk , athough the move to a two tier system is already in progress. There is a lovely atmosphere at the school which prides itself on good behaviour and the development of the individual child. Places are keenly sought!
