Every September, a highly
successful fete is held on the field beside the Village Hall, with
displays, music and many traditional stalls. This year's Fete is on
Sunday 9th September and will be officially opened at 1pm by young
Hollywood actor Ed Speleers, who has recently starred in
Eragon. Consequently, the theme of the fete will be
Dragons! The school children will be performing a Dragon Dance,
there will be many dragon themed stalls and there will be a fire
engine in attendence in case any of the dragons get overheated.
Children will be allowed to explore the Fire Engine. A display will
be put on by the Abbey Twirlettes and there will be two adult sized
bouncy castles (kindly provided by Wooden Spoon, a national Rugby
Charity). All the usual stalls will be there, Punch and Judy, the
Bee man etc.plus a new Win-a-Car competition using dice. A
delicious BBQ will be on the go all afternoon. For more
