TABLE OF FEES – BATTISFORD PARISH CEMETERY

1. INTERMENTS (excluding all charges for labour)

a. In graves for which no exclusive right of burial has been granted, and for

which no headstone will be permitted.

i. A stillborn child or person whose age at time of death did not

exceed 12 years, at a depth not exceeding 1830mm (6’) No charge

ii. A person whose age at the time of death exceeded 12 years,

at a depth not exceeding 2133mm (7’) £33.00

 

b. In graves for which an exclusive right of burial has been granted.

 

For the interment of the body of:

i. A stillborn child or person whose age at the time of death did not

exceed 12 years, in an earthen grave at depth not

exceeding 1830mm No charge

ii. A person whose age at the time of death exceeded 12 years, in

an earthen grave at a depth not exceeding 2133mm (7 feet). £57.75

iii. For the interment of cremated remains £33.00

 

 

2. EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS OF BURIAL IN EARTHEN GRAVES

 

a. For the exclusive right of burial for 100 years in an earthen grave

2133mm (7’) by 1220mm (4’) £82.50

b. For the exclusive right of burial for 100 years of cremated remains

in an earthen grave 1070mm (2’ 6”) by 1070mm (2’ 6”) £41.25

 

 

3. MONUMENTS, GRAVESTONES, TABLETS OR MONUMENTAL INSCRIPTIONS WHERE EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS OF BURIAL HAVE BEEN PURCHASED

 

For the right to erect or place

a. A headstone or cross not exceeding 3’ 6” in height £49.50

b. A Gravestone in the form of a vase, scroll, small tablet or ledger

not exceeding 2’ 6” square and 18” in height £33.00

c. A memorial stone, 18” square flush with the ground with a raised central

square of 9” side not exceeding 4” in height, over cremated remains £33.00

d. Any inscription after the first on a gravestone, tablet or monument £26.75

 


Notes

 

The extension area is maintained as a lawn cemetery and therefore only headstones will be acceptable over graves and flush memorial stones over cremated remains.

 

Photographs or other images of the deceased will, with reason, be permitted on headstones, tablets or monuments subject to prior approval in each case.

 

The foregoing fees, payments and sums will be double where a person (or the parents of a child) is not an inhabitant, parishioner, councillor or council employee of the Parish of Battisford or resident within 100 metres of the Parish Boundary.

 

At a meeting of the Parish Council of Battisford held on the 9th day of December 2008 the foregoing fees, payments and sums payable are hereby fixed and settled by the said Parish Council.
