Minibus
BACT have a sixteen seater passenger minibus purchased in
October 2005 which is run under a Section 19 permit. The minibus is
for use in the Beccles/Bungay area and surrounding villages by
local organisations and groups. The bus has a tail lift for
wheelchair access and for anyone who has difficulty using
steps.
Member organisations using the bus pay an annual membership of
£15. Charges are based on mileage, with a minimum hire rate of £22
for the first 20 miles and 90p per mile thereafter.

The office is open from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4.30
pm
Alternatively you can visit the office at Harmony House,
Hillside Road East, Bungay.
All our minibus drivers are volunteers and are MIDAS trained.
Seat belts are installed on all seats and passengers are required
to wear belts unless they have an exemption certificate. Clamping
and belt facilities are provided for wheelchair users.

Conditions of use
Only MIDAS certified drivers may drive the vehicle, operate the
lift and fix wheelchairs. The bus must be returned in a clean and
tidy condition and any faults must be reported by the driver to
BACT.
BACT cannot be held responsible for loss of, or damage to items
left in the bus.
The maximum capacity is 16 (including the driver) adult
passengers, less any wheelchair space required. The bus should not
be overloaded or used for the carriage of goods.
All minibus drivers are volunteers, therefore bookings are taken
subject to a driver being available.
When booking the minibus please have the following information
to hand: -
- Date and day of travel
- Destination
- Start time
- Finish time
- Number of passengers to travel
- Number of wheelchair spaces required (max of 2)
- To whom the invoice should be
addressed.
