Beck Row, Holywell Row and Kenny Hill
Parish Council |
In 1999 the village of Beck Row together with Holywell Row, Kenny
Hill and Burnt Fen formed its own Parish Council. Prior to this
date, the villages had been represented by elected members on the
Mildenhall Parish Council. The formation of a separate Parish
Council followed eight years of discussion and negotiation with the
population, Mildenhall Parish Council, Forest Heath District
Council and the Boundary Commission.

Several years prior to the formation of the Parish Council, the
Beck Row Community Association was created to reflect the interests
and wishes of local inhabitants. The Association was – and is –
made up of representatives from local clubs and organisations that
are constantly busy. As the result of many years of fund-raising
events and a weekly Lottery the Community Centre was built
adjoining the Primary School. The building is now regularly used as
a meeting place and serves as a focal point for village, school and
private events. | |
