Bentley Parish Council
instigated a 'Village Plan' in the 'run up' to the
Millennium. A 'Working Party' was formed and asked the
parishioners how they wanted their village to develop and how they
would like to mark the Millennium.
The 'Working Party' did achieve
considerable success.
The war memorial refurbishment was completed
by the Parish Council early in 2001 and
annually,
since then, regular Remembrance Day services have been held and are
well supported by the
community.
