LOCAL HOMES / BOUNDARY CHANGES meeting:  Following a decision, made at
the 7 August 2008 Extra Ordinary meeting, the Parish Council will be consulting the village regarding the instigation of a survey (approx. cost £500 to £600, as stated at the meeting) to discover the needs for local housing in and around Bentley.
At the same meeting discussion / consultation will take place with those present at the meeting regarding any proposed Boundary changes and what effect these may have on Bentley.  WATCH OUT FOR THE AGENDA giving the date of the meeting.

ANOTHER PARISH COUNCILLOR RESIGNS:  Following the resignation of a councillor there is another vacancy on the Parish Council as at 24 July 2008.  Would you like to be more involved, attend meetings, and have your say as a councillor, then please see either of the 2 Parish Council Notice Boards for information on how to apply or contact the clerk.  Click here for the clerks contact details.

NEW PARISH COUNCIL NOTICE BOARD:  For Parishioners who wondered who provided the Notice Board at the Village Hall the answer is the Parish Council.

At the 3 July 2008 Parish Council meeting, during the authorise payments section, it was stated that, after the contractor gave a generous reduction of 35% off the cost, as a gift to the village, the new Parish Council Notice Board, located, as some parishioners have commented, in a rather dominant position in the Village Hall car park, cost £1169.13

OWNERSHIP of the VILLAGE HALL:  Though there appears to be a lot of documentation available a resolution was passed, at the 3 July 2008 Parish Council meeting, to immediately seek, and pay for, legal advice in order to ascertain who has ownership of the Village Hall.
