If you live in Bentley and have FISH in an UNCOVERED GARDEN POND - A Heron has been visiting garden ponds in the early hours so if your fish stock is being depleted then chances are the Heron is coming back for more  - The last sighting of the Heron in webmasters garden was on the 30 July 2008.

To protect your fish from a heron that is looking for an easy breakfast try covering the pond with a large mess of string or netting which will allow other birds and amphibians through but deter the Heron.

STAG BEETLE and HEDGEROW SURVEY - Mr Colin Hawes will be supplying details and data about the STAG BEETLE population in and around Bentley.  Details about the extensive work Colin has done to record and document the HEDGEROWS in Bentley will also soon be displayed on this website.
