A new pantomime,
Little Red Riding
Hood, was added to our repertoire making a
total of five. This year Peter Bingham handed the Dame's role
over to Mark Naunton, whilst he played the part of Sir False Hood,
the local squire. Sue Ward, who was expecting Ben, played Red
Riding Hood and spent a great deal of time avoiding the wolf,
played by Ted. Helen had also rejoined the group and as
Prince Helendall saved Red Riding Hood from a fate worse than
death. At the end of the final performance donations of £50
each were presented to Bentley School and the Bentley
Playgroup.
Our willing support group was Ted Poole stage manager, Roger
and Sandra Canning scenery, Keith Philips sounds and lighting and
Cynthia Cripps music.
The cast in order of appearance were Sue Ward, Robert Townley, Mark
Naunton, Peter Bingham, Edward Day, James Osborne, Helen Townley,
Victoria Osborne and Ted Poole.
