This pair of
Art Nouveau style
tile panels were
hand painted on
cream porcelain tiles
for installation in
a black iron
hearth surround
in a dining room
fireplace.

The flower head
was painted in
crimson red
to compliment
the wall colour
of the room.

The roots of the
flowers were
designed using
the ornate shapes
in the metalwork
of the original
fire grate.

The flower/leaf pattern
was taken from
the original metal
finger plates
surrounding the
door handles
of the same room.
