The Council has a precept of £2,300

This money supports
the administration costs by paying the Clerk’s fees and
expenses, maintaining the churchyards by hiring and paying a
contractor to cut the grass, supporting the Village Hall
Committee by helping in the purchase of play equipment and
responding to any requests for help if they are made and also
by donating to local charities including Esmond House in
Orford, the local hospice, Suffolk Accident and Rescue, and
the Air Ambulance.
As well as administering the
finances the Councillors receive and comment on Planning
Applications in the way they consider to be most beneficial to the
parishioners. They deal with any complaints about the maintenance
of the roads.
All meetings are advertised 7 days prior to the meeting date in
three notice boards and all parishioners are invited to
attend.
