The 2008 Show

 Scan0003

The show schedule for 2008 is now published, if you would like more details on the the show please email the Show Secretary.

The show will be held on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September at the Capel St Mary village hall.

Show entries are open to all except the classes for Capel Residents which are for anyone who grows vegetables in Capel. See classes 59 to 69

New for this year in the Vegetable section is a class for 3 Sweet or Chilli peppers, class 24.

The Novice section has changed. The individual classes have been deleted but the Novice Collection has been expanded to a vase of flowers and three vegetables. For details see class 70

There is something different in the Novelty section. As well as growing a sunflower for the biggest seed head (class 75) look out for the tallest one and telephone me if you think you may have a winner, full details in class 76.

Again many thanks to Thompson and Morgan who have kindly donated the Russian Giant seeds. Your free packet of seeds is enclosed with this letter.

The Handicraft classes now include a handmade card, class 102.

A completely new section has been introduced for 2008 - an Art Gallery for paintings in various media, see classes 107 to 109

The Photography section is very popular and there are some interesting subjects for you to enter, see classes 110 to 113.

Lego is back, and is included in both age groups in the Children’s sections. Also included is a sunflower bloom judged by the biggest seed head, classes 118 and 123.

If you have exhibited previously please continue to support the show and if this is to be your first time please take time to read the schedule and decide what you can enter. In this way the show will continue to be successful and feature as one of the major village events.

If you have any queries concerning the show or require an additional schedule or entry form please email the Show Secretary
