The headquarters of Chantry Residents Association is a community shop on Lavender Hill in IPSWICH.

In the shop we sell second hand items including adult and childrens clothing, bedding, curtains, nic nacs, well anything really (except electrical goods and furniture!) you would like or would need for yourself or your home and they are all sold at very reasonable prices.

Naturally to be able to sell things we rely on donations, of which we are always very grateful for like unwanted gifts, good toys/games/clothes which the children have grown out of, adult and child books, pots and pans, jewellery etc

We also have lots of information leaflets from organisations offering advice on various subjects which you may have problems with rent, bills, housing etc

Once a month the County Councillor and local Community Police Officer hold a surgery where any estate issues or concerns can be raised and dealt.

The community shop is run by volunteers and currently has some vacancies, if you have some spare time one morning or afternoon or even just a couple of hours a week and would like to help out please contact us on 01473 683680.

The Chantry Residents Association committee are very pro-active in estate issues and problems and work closely with Suffolk County Council and Ipswich Borough Council they have recently been responsible for installing pathways, improved lighting, installing CCTV camera's and generally improving the area.

If you would like to make a difference to your community or like to be involved in estate matters/decisions by joining the committee our meetings are held once a month.

If you would like any further information about us or what we do or discuss any of the above please contact us on 01473 683680 or write to 26 Lavender Hill, IPSWICH, Suffolk, IP2 0NB. Email us on
