Churches Together in Hadleigh
– what is it ? and what does it do ?
Churches Together in Hadleigh – formerly Hadleigh Council of
Churches – brings together most of the Christian congregations in
the town and in the villages around in order to share and to
celebrate their faith in Jesus Christ.
We are members of Churches Together in Suffolk.
Under the auspices of
Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, our
member churches represent most of the
mainstream Christian traditions in these islands:
Church of England
Roman Catholic Church
United Reformed Church
Baptist Church
Methodist
Church The Salvation Army.
You can find out more about these church organisations by clicking
on the highlighted names. Other useful websites for Hadleigh
as a whole are www.hadleigh.org.uk
and
www.hadleigh-suffolk.co.uk
And
of
course
you can keep right up to date through
the monthly Hadleigh Community News, distributed free to every
house in Hadleigh.
Together with the clergy, a number of committed lay people bring
the Good News to our neighbours in different ways which reflect our
various traditions and gifts.
We meet on the first Wednesday of each month, excepting
August, to pray together and discuss our
plans.
We have much to do in the coming months and years to preserve and
add to our Christian heritage here in this part of Suffolk, and we
invite more people, young and old, to join us in our work for God's
Kingdom here on earth. Anything you can bring to us, whatever
your God-given gifts and talents, will be warmly welcomed.
Come and have a first chat and see what we can work out together -
phone one of the ministers listed in the
