ART IS FUN...

Art for Fun at workThis is a friendly group of amateur artists of all levels.  Everybody with an interest in any form ofpainting, and of any ability is welcome.
From time to time there are workshops lead by professional tutors, at other times we help each other.

We meet on Monday mornings in the Playing Field Pavilion.

Subscriptions are £10 for a ten week session

BADMINTON CLUB

This club is affiliated to the Tennis Club and plays on a Monday evening in the Village
Hall from September to May inclusive. New members of any ability are always welcome (We do not play in any Leagues).

Subscriptions are £32 for the year or £2 per visit.

BOWLS CLUB - COPDOCK & WASHBROOK

Club nights are held on a Friday evening from May to Mid September, on the green which is situated behind the Village Hall.

New players of all abilities welcome, coaching for beginners is available. 

For new members the first year subscription is £20.00 and there is no joining fee.
There is a 50% reduction for students under 21

THE BROOK PLAYERS

We are a friendly amateur dramatic group, now in our 30th year, being formed in 1975. We hold two productions a year - full length dramas, comedies or revues, and occasionally fund raisers at other venues.

We meet on Wednesday evenings in the Village Hall.

Membership is £10 per year.

BROWNIE PACK - 1st COPDOCK & WASHBROOK

We are a uniforn branch of the Guide association for girlsaged 7 to 11 years of age, for fun, crafts, games and friendship.

We meet on Monday evenings during school term time in The Church Room in The Street Washbrook, from 6.00 to 7.30pm.

Subscriptions are £1 per session payable in advance for each term.

CARPET BOWLS

We play in Division 2 of the Suffolk Winter Carpet Bowls League. We have been established for 15 years
and have a current membership of 16.

We meet on Thursday evenings in the Village Hall from September to March

Subscriptions are £ 1.50 per night and there are no joining fees.

CHURCH HERITAGE TRUST

We are a registered charity (No 1038132), our constitution being agreed in May 1994.
The charity's objects are the repair, maintenance, and improvement of St Peter's Church, Copdock.
We raise funds by means of concerts, markets, dinners, dances, open gardens etc. Always trying to involve as many other organisations and individuals as possible.

Annual subscription is a minimum of £5

CRICKET CLUB (COPDOCK & OLD IPSWICHIAN)


Nestling beside the Old London Road, you will find Copdock and Old Ipswichian Cricket Club. Originally founded some 168 years ago, this unique institution has managed to transgress the plains of time from Victorian England to the new millenium.

CricketMatchThis is one of the leading cricket clubs in Suffolk, and playing at one of the most picturesque grounds.

The cricket ground is on the Playing Field on the Old London Road (Old A12) opposite the Copdock Elizabeth Hotel.

TENNIS CLUB

There are two coloured hard tennis courts situated on the Playing Field, and we are fortunate to have lights, which means tennis can be played all year round. Club nights are held on Thursday evenings from April to October, and members also make arrangements between themselves to play. We have some keen members who play in the Suffolk LTA leagues. The members of the club are of all abilities, and we are always pleased to welcome new members.

We meet for friendship and any money raised goes to a charity.  All are welcome to come and share tea, coffee and cakes.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

The main purposes of the WI are to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences, to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international, in music, drama and other cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home eccononics, health and social welfare. It seeks to give women the opportunity of working together through sefwilogothe WI, and of putting into practice those ideals for which it stands.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall.

Annual membership fees are £ 21.00.
