Carters Meadow
Strange sights have been appearing at the Meadow! Late in the
summer we had huge numbers of Privet Hawk Moth Caterpillars.
They've now burrowed into the soil to harch out next year. At
10cm long, they are the UK's largest native moth.
The Halloween party was a huge success once more with more than 40
people joining us at the Meadow to enjoy bangers and mash, and
bread and butter pudding! Henry Nicholls was by far the best
dressed ghoul and the prize for best carved pumpkin went to Kate
Cappock.
