Cotton Oil Buyers Group (COB ) Newsletter (April 2010)

Delivery News

Our fifth delivery of oil took place week commencing 11th October 2010. We again managed to negotiate a very good price of 41.15p+5% VAT per litre.  We delivered to 21 members, and ordered 17,650 litres of oil.
If you are not a member of the COB and have just had a delivery yourself, please compare the prices.

How it Works

A reminder e-mail will be sent two weeks prior to the cut off date when we negotiate the prices with the oil companies. (Non e-mail customers will receive an order form through door)

When negotiations have taken place, we will confirm via e-mail - or telephone (if no e-mail)

Delivery is normally negotiated for a week after the cut off date.  Payment is made via yourselves and the Oil companies.  They will contact you for payment.

If you are not experiencing the lower prices through the Cotton Oil Buyers Group and you are looking to save on the cost of your heating oil, please consider this:

1. You will receive maximum discounts by COB combining village orders. Guaranteed lower prices per litre than a one off order.
2. Cheaper prices from the oil companies because they save on time and diesel etc.
3. We negotiate the lowest prices at each delivery slot.
4. Less hassle for the individual Cotton resident (we do the work)
PLEASE CONSIDER - the more Cotton residents who order their heating oil through the COB, the better prices we can negotiate.  This group is linked to our village plan.
