Budget/Precept 2012/2013
The Parish Council has set the budget for 2012/2013 @ £16,386.66 which has resulted in an increase in the Precept to £4,500. This equates to an increase of approx. 10p a week for Band D properties. The Parish Council managed to reduce the Precept last year, but an increase this year is unavoidable due to the acquisition of the play area from the Community Council, the transfer of Fen Alder Carr Nature Reserve from Suffolk County Council, the introduction by Mid Suffolk District Council of charges for local bin emptying (litter & dog waste), the continuing increase in street lighting energy costs and an increase in Church Hall hire charges.
