The Village Hall is situated in The Street, opposite the
junction with Priory Lane. The hall is an ex-W.W.1 Army wooden hut
which has been extended, updated and maintained over the years and
is still in good condition and used by village organisations.
Regular users are the Parish Council, the Women’s Institute, the
Indoors Bowls Club, the Keep-Fit classes, Horticultural Shows and
for sales, local history exhibitions, fetes, village parties and
meals such as the annual Harvest Supper.
The hall is available for hire to private organisations and
individuals.
The Village Hall Management Committee consists of a
representative from each of the village organisations plus elected
and co-opted members. All members are trustees under the
ownership of the
Charity Commission.
Funds are raised to maintain the building by staging local
events and by the income from the Darsham 100 Club, which has a
monthly draw with four prizes of £100; £50 and two of £25.
