Although WI meets on the second Wednesday of the month, there are a number of arranged visits and events during the year. These include a theatre visit to Aldeburgh and the annual WI quiz. In addition to these, there are a number of events that are organised by Suffolk East WI and members can attend for a reduced charge. The events range from countryside walks to cookery or gardening demonstrations.

The WI members are looking forward to a new year of talks and activities. Looking at the 2009 programme, a few dates stand out. In particular, the talk by Mr Mark Mitchels on Characters of East Anglia in April, Mr Mitchels is a very informed and amusing speaker and it should be a very interesting evening.
