If you served in the Royal Air Force and you or your family need help or if you know of anyone who served in the RAF and either they or their family need help, please contact us. The main reason the RAFA exists is to provide welfare support. This can vary widely. A visit and a friendly chat or a bit of advice is all that some people want. But we can offer much more. There may be a need for a one-off cash payment or a regular grant. Others may need wheelchairs or other aids to mobility. Or perhaps transport to hospital. RAFA also has residential homes which offer respite care as well. We can arrange for someone to stay at one of them and also arrange transport there. One thing you can be assured of is that any problems will be treated in the strictest confidence and in a friendly manner. We aim to deal with any request promptly. A number of them will need support when they return, as will the families of those who have been killed or injured. (Pictures are Crown Copyright & used with permission from the RAF).
