Felixstowe Travel Watch
2012/2013 Tours
Described
Please Note - The start point for all Coach Tours will be Garrison
Lane Coach Park. It will then pick up and set down at
all bus stops on Route 75-77 in the town, Walton and Trimleys upon
request. Please do not enter the coach until the
Steward has booked you in.
On long trips (3 or more hours), we try to incorporate a comfort
stop (toilets and drinks). Many passengers take a packed lunch and
it is often possible to consume this on the coach or on arrival.
Food can normally be purchased during breaks and at destinations.
Please watch the weather and bring topcoats and umbrellas if
thought advisable. Personal possessions may be left on the coach
but are left at the owner’s risk.
Both cash and cheques (made payable to Felixstowe Travel Watch)
are acceptable if you are booking at either or both the February
and Spring Meetings, otherwise we would prefer that you pay by
cheque, which can be posted to Mrs G Esmarch at the address shown
on the Booking Form.
You may pay for more than one tour with the same cheque.
If, however, you wish to pay by cash, please telephone Mrs
Esmarch first to ensure that she will be at home to receive the
money and issue you with a ticket or a receipt. Please accompany
payments with a completed Booking Form.
For your convenience, separate booking forms are attached and
can be used at any time before the trip, but the earlier the better
to secure your seat(s). A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit system operates
for some tours so that intending passengers don’t have to find the
full cost straight away. If you choose to pay a deposit only,
please ensure that you pay the balance by at least
three weeks before the trip. We have included £1.00 in the fare as
the coach driver’s gratuity. This will save
embarrassment to passengers and obviate the
need for the Steward to make a collection on the coach.

by their customer service team and our guide for the day. After tea
and coffee, the guide will give a short introductory talk, followed
by the first half of the tour. This takes place around the outside
of the wartime buildings in the grounds of Bletchley Park, where
visitors are given a detailed history of the site and its
code-breaking activities. You will discover what went on at each of
the key locations, including the famous code-breaking huts and
there will also be a chance to see the Polish Memorial in the

Theatre – 25th October to be confirmed
We are awaiting details of the program this year, but please

attending, to enable us to pre book our tickets.
The Seckford Theatre is Suffolk's newest theatre venue, situated

Theatre it is well worth a visit to this state of the art building
which seats up to 350 people and boasts a versatile performance

Tour No. 10 –English Whisky Company and Welney Swans –
Thursday 15th November
The English Whisky Company became
operational in 2006 and is open daily. As we hopefully will have a
full coach, the group will be split into two for the tour of the
distillery and each tour will take approximately 1 hour. This tour
includes coffee or tea and of course a taste of their finest
malt.
The whisky made by The English
Whisky Company is made from malted barley which comes from Crisps
of Fakenham, yeast from AB Mouri in Hull and the water is pumped
from under their feet from the Breckland aquifer.
You will have time to browse around
their shop where they sell a full range of their own products
including items not found on their website. They also stock an
impressive range of unusual single malt whiskies from around the
world. In addition to their gift shop they have an
online shop that sells all their
products. These are usually posted the following day.
We then get back on the coach and
travel to Welney Wetland Centre. We intend to get there with time
for you to look around and use their café facilities. Don’t forget
to take your binoculars. At 18.30 there will be a floodlit feeding
of the swans and we recommend that you get in position in the
observatory to see this by 18.00.
