Andrew Stringer of Pegasus Flooring (see image below) is seen
laying the very first run of sprung timber flooring at the
Blackbourne hall. The old floor had failed over 10 years of use due
to various structural factors, all of which Andrew has addressed in
order to provide a trouble-free, comfortable and attractive floor
for the next 25 years or so. The biggest problem in tackling the
job has been finding a week when the hall can be freed for the work
to take place. Bookings increase year-on-year and there is now real
pressure for the Phase II extension on which the Parish Council is
hoping to be in a position to consult with the village in the near
future.
