Suffolk Wildlife Trust
- The Eye & District Members Group of the Suffolk Wildlife Trust works to raise funds and promote awareness of the Suffolk Wildlife Trust in Eye and the surrounding area including Laxfield, Fressingfield, Hoxne, Gislingham, Thornham , Mellis & Redgrave. It holds regular meetings, conducts illustrated talks on wildlife topics, arranges visits to local nature reserves, and organizes fundraising events. These events are advertised locally. Regular monthly evening meetings are held at Redgrave & Lopham Fen visitor Centre. All those with an interest in wildlife & conservation are welcome. High Suffolk Flower Club
- The club meets in the Community Centre, Magdalen Street, Eye on the first Monday in the month, except January and August. At each meeting around six flower arrangements are demonstrated and these are raffled off at the end of the evening. This is a very friendly club which welcomes new members and visitors to the meetings. If you would like to come along, and would like to come with someone, contact the Secretary, Pat Parfitt, on 01728 628414, who will arrange for another member to accompany you. The group is NAFAS affiliated and part of the East of England Group. A charity is adopted each year and fund raising events are held on its behalf. This year’s chosen charity is the Gilchrist Maternity Unit at the Hartismere Hospital. For further details please ‘phone the Secretary.
