AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PARISH PLAN

1. Through comprehensive surveys and consultations with the people of Eye, the plan will reflect the community which it represents.

2. The plan will also incorporate the views of other interested parties who have a stake in the town.

3. The plan will contain a summary of what Eye is, and already has.

4. The plan will review what works well in the town, what is less successful, and what does and does not work in the best interests of the townspeople and its businesses.

5. The plan will identify what can be improved in the town.

6. The plan will name what the community wishes to keep.

7. The plan will deliver a clear picture of what the town wants, where we are going, and how we intend to get there.

8. The plan will inform the community plans of the County and District Councils in terms of highways, education, health etc.

9. The plan will demonstrate how the town can work in partnership with the local authorities in order to uphold, enhance and develop community services.

10. The plan will ensure that Eye does not ‘miss out’ by not having an individualised plan.
