A set of mythbusting leaflets has been developed to give some
facts and bust a few of the common myths about Gypsies and
Travellers, Migrant Workers and Refugees and Asylum Seekers.
The leaflets provide some facts about the three community groups
and the role they play in the life of the county.
The leaflets are intended to provide information that will be
useful and informative to the general public, frontline staff in
organisations across the county and for councillors as part of
their work in the community.
These leaflets have been developed on behalf of partner
organisations in Suffolk to promote increased understanding between
communities.
The Forum for Refugees, Asylum Seekers and New and Emerging
Communities is a multi-agency forum that includes representatives
from the district and borough councils, the county council, police,
PCT, and voluntary and community groups that work directly with
these communities. This Forum has supported the development
of the leaflets.
