Allotments The allotments in the village, beside the village hall in Fordham Road, are owned by a charity.

Annual General Meeting The Parish Annual General Meeting is held during April or May each year. Details are posted on the notice boards and in the Spring Parish Pump.
Buses

The village has a fairly regular service to Newmarket and Mildenhall (400 and 401) and a schools service to Bury St Edmunds (356).

National Express service to Stansted, Heathrow and Gatwick calls at Mildenhall Bus Station.

 Doctors There are two surgeries in Mildenhall being the Whitehouse Surgery (01638 718177) and The Market Cross Surgery (01638 713109). The Whitehouse practice also has a surgery in Red Lodge - Reynard Surgery (01638 552211).
Refuse Collection Emptied on Tuesdays (early). Blue / brown and black alternate weeks. All enquiries to Forest Heath District Council (01638 719284) or their  Environmental Services web page.
Mobile Library

A mobile library calls at the Golden Boar on alternate Wednesdays between 3.20 – 3.35 p.m.

Newsletter The Parish Council publishes a newsletter – Parish Pump – four times a year. Limited advertising can be accepted. See attached for advertising rates. All enquires to the Clerk to the Council.
Newspapers The Post Office in Isleham is offering daily delivery of national and local newspapers. Contact Mr or Mrs Bishop on 01638 780256.

Parish Council The Council is made up of five members with scheduled meetings every other month (May, July, September, November, January and March). See Parish Council page for details.
Police Policing in the village is undertaken by the Mildenhall SNT (Safer Neighbourhood Team). For full information see their web page
Recreation Area The Parish Council has a recreation field with access off Chippenham Road and a pedestrian access beside the Lee Brook off The Street. The recreation field has two seven-a-side goal nets and a basket ball net. Also there is a fenced childrens' play area with swings, a slide, rocking horse and seesaw.
Street Lighting The majority of the street lights are owned by the Parish Council (excluding those in Shores Close and some in East View). If any light is not working, or remains on during the day, please report the Outage giving the location and street light number (painted on each light) if possible.

Vegetable Stalls There are two regular vegetable stalls. One is on the Chippenham Road, just on the edge of the village. The other is on the Fordham Road, also just on the edge of the village.
