Fressingfield Sports & Social Club

The Sports and Social Club provides a well stocked bar for its regulars, changing and storage facilities for member organisations, as well as being home to the bowls club, tennis club, darts team and Friendly Club. Adjoining it are tennis courts, a football pitch, bowling green and a comprehensive children's play area.  Resident darts teams take part in local competitions in the winter months.

Competitions

Inter-Village Sports.  Annually, during June/July, around 15 local villages compete across a wide range of events in this good natured competition. The activities extend beyond those provided by clubs above and include athletics, swimming, as well as fun items. The Playing Field Management Committee organise this event and teams of competitors are drawn up by Committee members. A large number of villagers old and young take part. Each village hosts it in turn. Wanted! - a volunteer to help co-ordinate the sports for our village for 2009.

Walking in Suffolk

walkinginsuffolk.co.uk gives details of some wonderful walks around our area. 

Also, recently published, is a booklet, Ten Walks around Fressingfield, as walked by Molly the dog!  This is written by Paul Clark and available at £3 with all proceeds to the Friends of the School.  Please email the webmaster if you would like a copy.
