The fifteen mile long Pulham to Peasenhall Roman Road passes through the parish. Its route is recognisable as the present B1116 passing through Weybread until it reaches Gooch's Farm, where a Saxon diversion serves Fressingfield. Then for one and a half miles the route lies under the plough until Apricot Farm where the present road follows it again to the north of Chippenhall Green.
