GRUNDISBURGH &
CULPHO nestle in the beautiful Suffolk countryside
and are surrounded by a net work of public
footpaths. These are well used by villagers and
visitors and are by far the best way to see and enjoy the
countryside and its wild life.
MAPS
To find your way around the public footpath net work a map of
public footpaths in the Fynn Valley area north of Ipswich, one of a
series by Wilfred George, can be purchased at Grundisburgh’s
Post Office – price £1.50.
A map of paths in the Grundisburgh and Culpho area is also on
display in St.Mary’s Church porch.
To get you started, as part of Grundisburgh’s Millennium
Celebrations a leaflet giving descriptions and a map for two walks
in and around Grundisburgh was produced. If
you would like one posted to you “free of charge” please
Email.
ORGANISED WALKS
The parish council’s Conservation and Footpaths Committee
organises walks starting from the Village Green on Sunday
afternoons. This is a great way to discover routes
you are not familiar with in good
company. The picture shows villagers
stepping out on one of these very popular
walks.
