ICE PITS WOOD
Suffolk County Council are looking to sell the wood.  The  Parish Council is therefore looking at all aspects of the maintenance and purchase of the wood, including which grants may be available for purchase and maintenance.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT
The Parish Council are working with Iceni Homes Ltd to look at providing affordable housing in Gt Barton.  Proposed sites on East Barton Road and School Lane are being reviewed by St Edmundsbury Borough Council's planning department and by Highways. There are currently 16 applicants, living in Gt Barton who are registered with the Choice Based Lettings Scheme. There are an additional 5 in Pakenham and 21 in Ixworth who may have a local connection to the village. St Edmundsbury Borough Council are still confident that an affordable housing scheme in Gt Barton would meet a local need.
