Main Entrance Hall
The main entrance to the Village Hall is via
double doors which lead into the main entrance hall. This
hallway provides access to the disabled toilet, kitchen and main
hall. In addition there is a 6ft x 4ft shutter between the kitchen
and entrance hall providing a serving hatch.
Main Hall
The main hall
refurbished and decorated in 2008 measures 58ft x 24ft with a dark
hardwood floor. The room is light and airy and is equipped with
stage lighting, a mirror ball for dancing.
The hall has a large selection of tables including 6 large circular
banqueting tables that can each seat 10 people.
The hall can seat up to:-
- 120 people for
dining
- 150 people for concerts
Audio equipment includes a "loop" for the hard
of hearing, public address and sound systems. There are two
projection screens, one large electric 15ft x 12ft screen
and a smaller retractable one positioned on the side
wall.
The Annexe
The annexe, which is adjacent to the main hall,
is accessed via 4 pairs of sliding doors. Opened in 2009 it
measures 47ft x 18ft and is equipped with a servery. It can be used
as a lounge area in conjunction with the main hall with 40 club
chairs, 10 stools and 12 coffee tables, or it can be used as a self
contained meeting room for up to 60 people. The room is equipped
with its own tea and coffee making facilities and toilet
access separate from the main hall.
Stage
The stage measures 24ft x 13ft with a recently
refurbished oak floor. It is equipped with stage lighting and easy
access from the changing rooms via two staircases on the
L.H.S. of the stage. There is another staircase which
provides access to the R.H.S. of the stage.
Kitchen
The large kitchen,
opened in 2004, measures 17ft x12ft and routinely serves 70
people at the Luncheon Club. It is equipped with a double sink,
twin ovens, microwave, fridge and hot cupboard. With large food
preparation areas and many cupboards. A small tabletop freezer can
be made available. Between the main hall and the kitchen is a 7ft x
4ft serving hatch with shutter. There is also access to the
R.H.S. of the stage.
Community Room Entrance
The community room
entrance provides independent access to the community room. Off
this corridor are located the main ladies' and gentlemen’s toilets
for hall and community room users.
Community Room
The community room,
opened in 2005, measures 21ft x 18 ft with an oak hardwood
floor. The room can seat up to 30 people for meetings. The room is
equipped with a sink, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
It has a white board and retractable projection screen. Broadband
connection can be provided by contacting the GB Computer
Club. The room can be hired together with the main hall
or independently.
Store Room /
Greenroom
To the side of the
main hall is a large store room measuring 13ft x 11 ft
equipped with a sink and storage cupboards. With access to
the L.H.S. of the stage this room can be used as a changing
room during stage performances.
Changing Rooms Entrance
The changing
room entrance provides access to the changing facilities
independently of the main hall. Off this corridor are located 2
unisex toilets and a wash hand basin.
Home Changing Room /
Greenroom
The home team
changing room measures 18ft x 13 ft. It is equipped with double
power showers, benches and coat hooks. The room also has
independent access to the side of the stage and is used as a
changing room during stage performances.
Away Changing
Room
The away changing
room measures 15ft x 12 ft. It is equipped with a single power
shower, benches, coat hooks and white board. It has its own access
door from the car park and this room can be used as a small
committee room seating up to 10 people.
Officials Changing Room
This small room provides enough
space for 3 match officials to change. It is equipped with a bench
and coat hooks.
Note
- The store room and changing facilities detailed above were
opened in Sept. 2007
- The village hall is heated by renewable energy from a
ground source heat pump.
- All the water heating is electric.
Exterior
Access to the
village hall car park is via a locked barrier. The large
illuminated car park has sufficient space to park 50 plus cars
+ 2 designated disabled parking spaces.
The large playing field to the rear of the village hall has a full
sized football pitch and goal posts plus one smaller pitch with
lighting for youngsters with 5-A-side goal posts.
There is also a children’s play area equipped with swings,
slide and climbing
frame.
