In
June 2006 the Parish Council leased a piece of land next to the
Church for Community use. Various options were discussed for
the use of this land and after consultations with the people
of Herringswell, the result was that the majority of people
wanted it to be a wildlife area for everyone to enjoy.
In November 2006 work started on clearing the area, see photos
below of some Herringswell Parishioners hard at work!
Suffolk Wildlife Trust and Forest Heath Countryside Officers have
been giving us some great advice on how best to create our vision
and together wehave created a plan which you
can
view here. We would like your views,
you can email us, phone either Liz on 750374 or Gloria on 750610
or please come to the next Parish Council Meeting when we
shall be next discussing the plans.
