Holbrook High School
Holbrook High School is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive situated on
the Shotley Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty,
between the rivers of Orwell and Stour. Ipswich is approximately
six miles to the north and Colchester fifteen miles away.
There is a wide range of extra curricula activities on offer to
the pupils. Music and Drama are very popular and there is an annual
production. Sport is a particular strength of the school, both
inside and outside of the curriculum, with several pupils playing
at County and National level.
There is a wide range of age and experience amongst the staff
who are exceptionally committed to the school.

Royal Hospital School
The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent full boarding
and day school for girls and boys aged 11 to 18 years.
Founded in 1712 in Greenwich, it moved to its present site set
in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside in 1933. There are 400 boys and
280 girls, 227 pupils in the sixth form and a total of 600 full
boarders.
As well as being encouraged to nurture academic excellence,
every pupil has the opportunity to pursue a huge range of
interests, to discover new passions and develop values that will
