Although Hopton & Knettishall are quiet villages on the surface, there are a number of local organisations and groups in the village.

The local gardening club is called POTS. This is an active club holding monthly meetings.

Hopton Bowls Club are based in their clubhouse located on Shortgrove Lane. They meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the winter and most evenings in the summer.

Troupe is a group of very gifted amateurs who have provided Hopton with its very own pantomime for over 20 years. Meetings are held as required for the next production.

The local Womens Institute covers both Hopton and Market Weston. Meetings are held in Market Weston village hall.

Little Tots is an Ofsted inspected pre-school for children aged 21/2 to 5 meeting Monday to Friday mornings (term time) in the village hall. Funded places available through Early Years Development and Childcare partnership. Contact Gill Kelly on 01379 890119

Home from Home (run by social services) meets in the High Street Chapel on Wednesdays. They provide an opportunity for the elderly to get out, have lunch and enjoy the company of their peers.
