The River
Lark is the
southern boundary of the parish and can be crossed by three
bridges.
Temple Bridge is at the end of
West Street and
leads to the village of
Tuddenham
passing through
Cavenham Nature Reserve, the bridge and surrounding area
are
reputed to be haunted by a headless horseman.
Farthing Bridge is on the road to Cavenham from
The Street and
the main
bridge is on the A1101 south
into
Lackford Parish. We have
many fine examples of
thatched
properties including
pubs ,
churches and
farms. The
Ickneild
way is our north eastern boundary and the A11 to the north
completes the triangle The Old
School is now used
as a
Community
Centre. The only surviving
shop is at the back of
the
Plough public
house and the
hall has been replaced with
housing.
