Hawan

Hawan will be performed on Friday 19th September at Unitarian Hall adjacent to the Meeting House, Friars Street, Ipswich, Ip1 1TD. at 7.30pm.
Dr Sushil & Mrs Hamlesh Suni performing Aarti at the Ganesh UstavSponsors for the Hawan this evening are Mr & Mrs Anil and Shakti Khosla.

All are welcome, and if you wish, you may bring Prasad for offering.

St Lawrence Centre

St Lawrence Centre (formerly St Lawrence Church), Dial Lane, Ipswich, IP1 1DJ has recently been refurbished by the Ipswich Borough Council, for use by Communities in Ipswich. The Council has allowed the free use of the Centre to Ipswich Hindu Samaj on 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month starting from July 2008 for six months.

The next event of the samaj will be held on Sunday 21st September from 4.00pm to 8.00pm comprising discussions, bhajans, aarti and recitation and reading of Bhagvat Gita. There will be also talk on Hinduism by Dr Sushil Soni for youngsters (16 to 25 yrs old) only.

Ganesh Utsav
Wednesday 3rd Sept-Sunday7th Sept

The Samaj will be celebrating the Ganesh Utsav at the Unitarian Meeting House, Friars street, Ipswich, IP1 1TD, as per the following programme:

3,4,5 Sept........ 7.30-8.pm.......... Ganesh Pooja and Aarti
     6 Sept........ 7pm-8.30pm....... Devotional songs followed by Aarti
     7 Sept........ 4pm-6pm........... Aarti, procession and visarjan
                                               (immersion) of lord Ganesh
All are cordially invited!

You may bring dry prasadam if you wish such as fruits, dry fruits, modak, khirapat ladoos etc.

Bharat Natyam Dance Classes

Mrs Thabovathani (Thabo) Gnanauthayan, a professional dancer in Bharat Natyam, South Indian Classical Dance, will be holding dance classes in Ipswich for children aged 5 to 16 in Ipswich, near to Ipswich Hospital.

Every third Friday of the month, the Samaj holds a Bhajan or Hawan evening at the Unitarian Meeting House, Friars Street, Ipswich, IP1 1TD at 7.45pm to 9.15pm. All are welcome.
