“ Om Bhoor Bhuvah Suvah – Tat Savitur Vareniyam,

Bhargo Devasya Dhee Mahi – Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodyat.”

The Lord Protector of all, Self-existent – All Knowing. All Bliss. The Creator of the Universe,

Is worthy of our Choice. May we meet this Divine Grace? With His wisdom may we be inspired.

Prayer for Health and Happiness

“ Om Agnai Naya Supatha, Raye Asman Vishwani Dev Vayunani Vidvan,

Yuyo Dhyasma Juhu Rana Meno Bhoo Yusthan Te Nama Uktim Vidhem.”

The Lord of Agni (Fire), We pray you and Namaskar you. Oh Radiant and Knowledgeable Lord, take us out from all lower sinful desires, and lead us to the path of Knowledge, Truth, Righteousness and to the wordly riches. For this we offer profound obeisance, namaskaars and praise.

Prayer for everyone Happiness

“ Sarve Bhavantoo Sukhinah – Sarve Santoo Niramaya,

Sarve Bhadrani Pashyante Maa – Kashchit Dukh Bhaag Bhavet.”

The Lord Creator of this Universe let every one be happy and contented. Let no one be in despair and poverty. Let every one be healthy and contented with riches. Let every one be generous and follow the path of righteousness. Let no one live in despair in this universe.

Let there be Peace in high world, Peace be in mid region, Peace be on earth. May the waters flow peacefully. May the shrubs and herbs grow peacefully. May all the Divine powers bring Peace to us. Brahma the Supreme is Peace. May all be in Peace, and may that Peace come unto me.

Prayer to Lord Ganesha

Vakra-tunda maha-kaya Surya-koti sama-prabha
nir-vighnam kuru me deva shubha-karyeshu sarvada

Ganesh is considered the 'destoyer of all obstacles' and venerated at the beginning of any ritual, special event or important endeavour. He is therefore referred to as the 'Lord of Beginnings' and the 'Giver of Sucess'.

Prayer to the Mother Goddess

Sarva-mangala mangalye Shive sarvartha-sadhike
Sharanye Tryambike Gauri Narayani namostu te.

The Mother Goddess, Lakshmi is the eternal consort of Lord Vishnu, and is often worshipped with him as Lakshmi-Narayana. She is worshipped in her right, particularly during the festival of Diwali.

Prayer to Goddess Saraswati

Saraswati namas-tubhyam varade kama-rupini
pooja-arambham karishyami siddhir-bhavatu me sada.

Saraswati is the Goddess of Learning and the Arts, and is closely connected with all aspects of Hindu culture.

Prayer to one's Guru (Teacher)

Guru-Bramha Guru-Vishnuh Guru-devo Maheshwarah
Guruh sakshat param Bramha tasmai shri gurave namah.

A Prayer for Immortality

Om asato maam sad gamaya
Lead us from untruth to truth

Tamaso maam jyotir gamaya
Lead us from darkness to light

Mrityor-maam amritam gamaya
Lead us from death to immortality
