As with all villages in the rest
of Suffolk, the way that Kedington is policed has changed. The St.
Edmundsbury Rural South Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is now
responsible for providing police presence in Kedington, Hundon,
Clare, Withersfield, Wickhambrook, Cavendish and Chedburgh. The
lone Community Policeman is no more.
The team works out of Clare police station and can be contacted by
telephone on 01284 774100 or by e-mail at
stedsruralsouth.snt@suffolk.pnn.police.uk
These folk will be backed-up by police response teams from
Haverhill and Bury St. Edmunds.
If you have an issue that you wish to have brought to the attention
of the SNT, please contact them direct or via a member of the
Kedington Parish Council.
Each month, there is an opportunity for issues to be raised at the
Tasking Meeting. So the SNT will be working closely with community
groups, the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Watch
Co-ordinators.
