views and functions as the first tier of government for the parish
of Kersey. The Parish Council is committed to working together with
the residents of Kersey for the benefit of the parish. All
parishioners of Kersey are encouraged to raise matters of concern
with the council and to attend meetings.

Agenda
Additional Parish Council meetings are called as and when
necessary, particularly if a response to a planning application is
required by Babergh District Council before the next scheduled
meeting. These meetings are usual quite short, just to consider
planning applications and any other urgent matters. Notice of the
meeting and an agenda are displayed on the notice boards in the
parish as usual.
As the Parish Council is a statutory consultee all planning
applications for Kersey are sent to us by Babergh District Council
for comments. The Parish Council is responsible for the approval
and monitoring of Council expenditure and setting the precept. The
Parish Council is also involved in highways, community safety, and
rights of way.
Our meetings are regularly attended by:
- Dawn Kendall our Babergh District Councillor
- Jeremy Pembroke our Suffolk County Councillor
- A member of the Safer Neighbourhoods policing Team
A copy of the Minutes of Parish Council meetings can be seen in
the Parish Council box in the Church next to the North Door,
upon request from the Clerk and on-line by following the link.
