Science is not
only about knowledge but also about investigation: this makes it a
very practical and exciting area of the curriculum. Children at
Langer School progress through a carefully structured programme of
learning, extending their skills and broadening their understanding
of themselves and the world about them. Science is seen as a "core"
area and thus as a vital subject in its own right. It also has
strong links with other areas of learning and development such
Health Education. In order to give greater depth to this subject,
teachers at Langer School are making increasing use of weekly
Science Projects, with an emphasis on practical work.
