We started this community fun day mainly for the residents of Chantry to have a fun day out we do not necessarily make vast amounts of money however any money that is made on the day goes back into the community either for helping to run our Community Shop in Lavender Hill, funding children's parties (eg Christmas, Easter, Halloween) organising coach trips etc.

We do not charge an admission fee and we try to keep everything as cheap as we can - excluding external vendors who have their set prices, which we have no control over.

We also try to envolve the community as much as we can in the running of the event by having year 10 children from Chantry High School manning stalls, assisting with setting up and clearing up of the event, they also make up teams for the its-a-knockout tournament, we invite other local residents' associations and charitys to come and have their own fundraising tables or stalls, also the police from the Chantry area attend so people can come and meet and chat to their local beat officers.
