BOTTLE
BANKS
The area around the bottle banks on the
Playing Field has become a health hazard from broken glass
following some users' refusal to take away bottles when the banks
are full up, leaving them instead at the side of the banks. In
addition, the roadway has been broken up (partly from collecting
lorries) and would cost a great deal of money to renovate. It is
for these reasons that the Parish Council have reluctantly decided
to remove the bottle banks completely. The nearest recycling centre
is in Stradbroke, and the PC hope this will not be too inconvenient
for parishioners.
Reporting non-emergency crimes using 101
Call 101 to contact the police
to report less urgent crime and disorder or to speak to your local
officers.
101 is the new number to phone when you want to
contact your local police - when it's less urgent than 999.
It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
and is now available in Suffolk. Calls cost 15p.

The Parish
Council have set out to provide more affordable housing in
Laxfield.
A working party have set out to identify sites and work to help
provide affordable housing. Although there have been some setbacks,
we are still hoping the scheme will continue and will be holding a
public information session at some point in the future.
